Vinkeveen (H0)
During exhibitions we noticed that (at that time) there were only a very few layouts with a typical Dutch theme. In the time between two layouts Jan Willem notices a very ugly building along the highway: it appeared to be a railway workers house of the former line from Amsterdam to Hilversum known as the Haarlemmermeerline. On our search we found Vinkeveen an attractive place to realize. Typical Dutch parcelling out, a Dutch vegetable auction with boats, floating through the building, two balance-bridges and very specific steam locos etc. And a possibility to run some early diesels after the WW II. This lay out is now to visit in the local museum in Vinkeveen.
